Kneeling down he listened to the roar of the sea as it slammed into the rocky shore.  He let his thoughts wonder as usual.  He was long past lonely, long past being bored.  He had no need for focus, nothing to keep his attention. Nothing has changed in the rocky terrain for centuries.   Sure there was the occasional volcanic eruption, scattered earthquakes.   Even asteroids fell to the land, restructuring the landscape like some abstract artist with a flick of the brush.  But the fact remained, He was bored. Chapter 1:  The Future Strikes Jason was standing nervously, waiting for his name to be called. This was it, the ending of one part of his life and the start of another.
